1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS -396. True Super Sport car with only 2 owners. Previous owner bought the car the year he graduated from high school in 1975. He was 2nd owner. He bought the car with the original 350 h.p. 396 still in the car. The car had 61,000 miles when he purchased it. It now has 72,219 original miles. The original 396 was taken out and swapped for a fresh high performance 396 that came out of his friends 1969 Chevelle back in 1979. The engine has less than 3,000 miles on it. Excellent body with no rust issues. He replaced the front fenders with GM fenders back in 1979. At that time it had one repaint the factory color Shadow Gray - color code 17. Paint still looks excellent. It has always been garaged. The engine is very strong, turbo 400 auto, 12 bolt posi, F-41 suspension, rear sway bar, p/s, p/disc brakes. Engine compartment is very clean with lots of extra chrome goodies such as: heater box,alternator, pulleys, hood latch, etc..Factory functional cowl induction hood. Correct air cleaner has also been chromed. Orginal black interior is perfect. Strato buckets, console, staple shifter, original AM - 8 track stereo(works). Everything in the interior works such as lights, gauges, heater, horn, dome light, key buzzer, glove box light, etc..All seat belt are in place. Factory Soft ray tinted glass. Factory 14" SS wheels, brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. Underside is very clean with no rust or no undercoating.
